BOTANICAL COPPERWHITE HEATHER

These metallic printed notebook covers are from graphic designer Marta Palasová. Her photos of moss, cranberry, wild rosemary, cottongrass and heather have been edited into monochrome, reflecting the landscape with its own living memory.

Palasová’s photos feature plants that originate in the Tertiary geologic period. “The bogland near Blaty, where I spent my childhood and which is depicted in the photos, represents an ancient ecosystem, which has been preserved in small fragments in the forests of South Bohemia. I have been fascinated by this for a long time.” explains Palasová.
